Types of Papers
The Journal of Water Engineering and Management (JWEAM) publishes manuscripts in the following categories. All submissions must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration elsewhere.
1. Original Research Articles
Original research papers presenting novel theoretical, experimental, modelling, or applied research in water engineering and management are accepted. Manuscripts should demonstrate:
Clear research objectives
Sound methodology and analysis
Significant scientific, technical, or practical contribution
Well-supported conclusions
2. Review Articles
Review papers should provide a critical, analytical, and up-to-date synthesis of a clearly defined topic of current and active interest in water engineering and management.
Reviews must go beyond a descriptive summary of published literature.
Logical interpretation, knowledge gaps, emerging trends, and future research directions should be clearly articulated.
Systematic, meta-analytical, or state-of-the-art reviews are particularly encouraged.
3. Short Communications / Viewpoints
Short Communications or Viewpoint papers present concise but complete accounts of limited investigations, innovative concepts, preliminary findings, or emerging perspectives.
Submissions must be fully documented and scientifically sound, similar to regular research articles.
The format is shorter, but the rigor, clarity, and referencing standards remain the same.
Ethical and Editorial Policy
All manuscript types are subject to:
Rigorous peer review
Compliance with publication ethics and plagiarism policies
Proper citation and acknowledgement of prior work
